PAINTING AND MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS
• The paint should be thoroughly mixed before use.
• When applying with a brush, the paint should not be thinned; when painting with a roller, thinners can be added up to 10% of the volume; using a low or high-pressure sprayer, thinners may be added up to 15% of the volume; for thinning, use HAMMERITE thinner (brush cleaner and thinner).
• To achieve an evenly painted surface without color differences, sufficient amounts of paint should be mixed in the container.
• When painting with a brush or roller, 2 coats should be applied to the surface; using a high-pressure sprayer – 2-3 coats, using a low-pressure sprayer – 3-4 coats.
• During the application and drying of the paint, the air and surface temperature must be +5…35 °C (recommended +18±2 °C), relative humidity <80%. Avoid painting in windy weather or when direct sunlight is hitting the surface, as intense solvent evaporation can cause an uneven and poor-quality paint film on the surface.
• For cleaning a contaminated surface during operation, use clean water as well as neutral or mildly alkaline cleaning agents (pH<8). After the use of a cleaning agent, the surface should be thoroughly rinsed with water, as prolonged alkaline exposure can make the painted surface dull. Higher water temperatures speed up surface cleaning. A soft brush or sponge can be used as a tool. Avoid using highly alkaline cleaning agents.
