Usage

ISOVER STANDARD ROLL 40 is very suitable for insulating rafter constructions, floors, partition walls, and attics. The roll width of 1220 mm provides an excellent opportunity to use ISOVER STANDARD ROLL 40 between metal frame elements by cutting the roll in half to obtain two 610 mm wide rolls. ISOVER STANDARD ROLL 40 also has very good sound insulation. Due to its flexibility, the wool fits tightly against the structure.

Installation

ISOVER STANDARD ROLL 40 rolls are typically installed between wooden or metal battens without the use of additional fasteners. When installing STANDARD ROLL 40, it should be ensured that the wool fits tightly against the structure. The width of the insulation should be approximately 10-15 mm larger than the frame gaps, allowing the wool, due to its flexibility, to fit snugly against the frame elements, preventing the formation of air channels and gaps that would reduce the thermal performance of the structure. The thickness of the wool should be chosen according to the thickness of the structure (rafters), and the insulation should be level with the frame. Using special fasteners, ISOVER STANDARD ROLL 40 can be installed without a rafter structure. To ensure the structure meets the specific building requirements, the designer’s instructions must be followed during installation.
